He has been in the Liver Transplant since 2002 and has been a part of the first few successful liver transplants in the country. He Heads the Apollo Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Unit. He has been actively involved in Living Donor Liver Transplantation, Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation, Pediatric Liver Transplant, Surgery for Cancers of the Liver, Bile duct, Gall Bladder and the Pancreas. Till date he has experience of over 2100 Liver Transplants, which also include transplants performed in various parts of India and all over Asia. He has been actively involved in academics, clinical research and training surgeons for the liver transplants. Numerous National and International surgeons have received training in liver transplant from him. Presently he is pursuing standardizing and improving safety in living donor hepatectomy.
